Job Description
SUMMARY
 
The Sr. Relationship Banker reports to the Client Service Manager in an assigned banking office and/or location. In this role, the Sr. Relationship Banker is responsible for prospecting, identifying profitable relationships to the bank, as well as the development of new and existing relationships; providing top-of-the-industry customer service, business development activities, relationship selling skills, and operational efficiency.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for attaining banking office production goals via business development activities
  • Develop new business, manage existing client relationships, and the retention of existing branch portfolio
  • Ensure the completion of required documentation, checklists, processes, and workflows to comply with bank policies and procedures
  • Requires effective handling of client and internal requests as well as the resolution of client issues with a sense of urgency
  • Assist the Client Service Manager in managing the day to day banking functions and activities of the branch to deliver a top of the industry client experience, operational excellence, and adherence to policies and procedures, and risk mitigation
  • Execute and deliver a ‘wow’ client experience and find creative solutions to hurdles when they are presented
  • Facilitate and streamline outdated processes and redundancies; embody being a ‘change-agent’ for the bank
  • Collaborate with and refer to internal Sunwest Bank lines of business and partner relationships.
  • Act as mentor and training vehicle for new team members and for more complex transactions and situations as presented

  • Attends training and maintains a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial institutions, as they apply to your position and job responsibilities, with an emphasis on the BSA/AML/CIP, Consumer Privacy, Regulation CC, Information Security, Bank Protection Act, FACT-Identity Theft, Information Technology and GLBA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possesses strong banking product and process knowledge
  • Strong collaboration and relationship selling skills
  • Sound decision making and organizational skills
  • Good Microsoft Office and computer skills (Power Point, Linkedin, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent communication, and presentations skills
